Giunge alla settima edizione il Workshop dal titolo Mosaico: archeometria, tecnologia e conservazione, in programma dal 20 al 21 Novembre 2014 a Faenza presso il Dipartimento CNR-ISTEC.
L'evento è organizzato dal gruppo Beni Culturali del CNR-ISTEC e ospiterà presentazioni orali su invito di 20 minuti seguite da 10 minuti di discussione. Le lingue ufficiali del workshop sono l'italiano e l'inglese.
Come da tradizione il Workshop preferisce dare ampio spazio presentazione da giovani ricercatori, restauratori, artisti italiani e stranieri. Anche nella settima edizione largo spazio sarà dato sia al mosaico antico che a quello contemporaneo (aspetti di conservazione e tecnici: materiali, tecniche).
Quest'anno l'evento, sulla base di un'impostazione multidisciplinare, di un grande numbero di temi che saranno discussi e la qualità dei participanti vuole rafforzare il proprio ruolo di punto di riferimento internazionale per tutti coloro (scienziati conservatori, restauratori, architetti, mosaicisti, etc.) che lavorano su mosaici antichi o moderni e contemporanei.
Inoltre il Workshop è un'indubbia opportunità di crescita professionale, soprattutto per i giovani che hanno cominciato a vivere il meraviglioso mondo del mosaico.

WORKSHOP Seventh edition Mosaic: archaeometry, technology and conservation 20th – 21st November 2014
The international Workshop “Mosaic: archaeometry, technology and conservation” has reached the seventh edition this year. Also the seventh edition will be organized by Cultural Heritage Group of CNR-ISTEC in Faenza, and it will be held in the great hall “Paolo Bisogno” of CNR-ISTEC (via Granarolo 64, 48018 Faenza, RA, Italy) on 20th and 21st November 2014. Oral presentations by invitation only of 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Official language of the Workshop are Italian and English. The Workshop, according to tradition, prefers and gives ample space to works presented by young Italian and foreign researchers/restorers/artists etc. Also in the 7th edition large space will be given both to ancient and to modern and contemporary mosaics (conservation and technical aspects: materials, setting techniques, etc.). The Workshop, this year, on the basis of its multidisciplinary characteristic, of the large number of topics that will be discussed and of the quality of the participants, wants to strengthen its role of international point of reference for people (conservation scientists, restorers, architects, mosaicists, etc.) that work on ancient or modern/contemporary mosaics. In addition the Workshop is a certain opportunity of professional growth, above all, for the young people that have begun to live the wonderful world of the mosaic.
