UFFIZI VIRTUALE, A new experience with art

Uffizi VirtualeChissà cosa direbbe Marco Polo nel vedere le opere d'arte di un Museo simbolo dell’Italia nella città cinese dell’EXPO 2010. Infatti dal 27 giugno il Museo dell’Arte di Shanghai ha allestito nelle sue sale nove installazioni multimediali con interfacce touch screen che presentano uno dopo l’altro i capolavori di Botticelli, Caravaggio, Tiziano, Leonardo e altri pittori italiani del Rinascimento che provengono dagli Uffizi di Firenze.
Fino al 21 luglio i visitatori avranno modo di toccare i nove schermi di grande formato sistemati nel percorso della mostra e potranno osservare da vicino i dettagli delle opere custodite nella Galleria degli Uffizi.

Turistarth 2010 è aperto: protagoniste le attività interattive.

Nella sessione pomeridiana di Turistarth 2010, sarà protagonista assoluta la Pinacoteca Ambrosiana con le visite guidate interattive.

Tre sono i percorsi che l’utente può scegliere: le opere della Pinacoteca presentate attraverso le parole del suo fondatore, il Cardinale Federico Borromeo; la scoperta del Foro dell’antica Mediolanum, i cui resti si conservano nei sotterranei dell’edificio dell’Ambrosiana e verranno raccontati con moderne radioguide; e infine la Chiesa di San Sepolcro, risalente all’XI secolo, recentemente restaurata.

Tutti coloro che non si sono registrati on-line, ma intendono partecipare al convegno, possono effettuare la registrazione al desk del check-in.

Youth in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Palermo, 24-26 May 2010

ECO YOCOCU 2010         
The second edition of YOCOCU, Youth in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, will take place in Palermo, 24-26 May 2010.

YOCOCU 2010 objectives are the following:

to stimulate exchange of advanced knowledge in the field of Cultural Heritage
to promote integration of expertise, products, technology and policy involved in the preservation/conservation of Cultural Heritage
to foster exchange of ideas and experiences among young researchers, academicians, authorities and practicing conservators.

The program covers a wide range of interdisciplinary topics, such as degradation phenomena, conservation materials and methods, portable equipments, innovative diagnostic techniques.

It is addressed mainly to young Conservation Scientists, Art Historians Conservator/Curators, Conservator/Restorers, Architects and others.

During the meeting a special attention will be given to social appointments and to some treasures of Palermo.
